back up and backed up

I’ve more-or-less got all my the services on my server back up and running. I
don’t have a way of recovering my
arch repository, but that only had one project
in it, which was little-used, so it’s not too bad. I ended up making my public
arch repository into a partial mirror of my personal arch repository, so that
it will be easier to recover in the future. (Like what I have with
git.)

I love the way people write logs

The other day I was debugging my drupal installation and had a look at the Apache error logs. And this is what I found :D

The Role of the ICTs in Expanding Economic Opportunity

The Role of the Information and Communications Technology Sector in Expanding Economic Opportunity, a report published by the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in collaboration with the World Resources Institute. The report argues that the primary motivation for ICT companies to expand economic opportunity in the developing world has been opportunity, not risk. New and expanding markets are to be found among low-income individuals and households and among small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

When a Blog Gets a New Home

Yeah, you guessed right: the aboutnoya blog will move to a new server. Straight out of the world of Gates and Windows to a friendlier place powered by a VPS running Debian.
PS: the blog might be unavailable from time to time for the next few days until the move is complete. If that happens, just don’t worry and check back later :) .

Do something

I cast my vote for the first time, and with all that has happened over the past few days, I felt my vote did count. I just desparately want someone to take charge, do something, assure us of our safety, manage this country. Do something.

Youtube Cache renamed to Video Cache ( videocache version 1.6 )

After brainstorming for sometime and having input from my online friends, Youtube Cache has been finally renamed as Video Cache (videocache). It made sense because Video Cache now caches dynamic audio/video content from 10 websites. So its not just youtube cache, its a video caching thing :) The final structure remains the same as described in my previous post about file system rebase. One again I would like to say thanks to foo for proposing the new structure.
