Planet SoC

The list of organization approved for this year GSoC has been released yesterday. I took a look at most of the ideas proposed and I’m surprised by the level of complexity of some. Just for an example the GCC compiler offer a lot of idea with a very high level of complexity.  Though I wish I had the skills to apply on them, compiler stuff and language design always been something I’m particularly interested in.
I found a couple of project that I’m really exited about. I need to elaborate on these ideas and make something good to present for my applications. In the end I’ll probably end up applying on around 10 projects. Thanks to the long Easter weekend ahead and this “oh so non-busy week” which allow me to think about these projects. Participating at the Google Summer Of Code would be like a dream. I could also use it to give me credits for upcoming class at university ( especially stage…) and of course there’s the 4500 $ USD for the work done. It would be awesome considering my situation.
Student application open the 24th and end up the 31th. I’m exited !
