Coding and posting on a bullet train, while reading documentation on the net through a 3G wireless connection.
On the laptop is a proof of concept Aptitude GTK+ demonstration.
The Osaka / Tokyo line is the fastest line in Japan - it has the fewest stops considering its distance (stopping a bullet train takes several kilometres and a single stop can add 20 mins to a journey).

Better than kaku eki
Better than riding the kakueki local train around Tokyo - you don’t have enough room there to use your mobile let alone a laptop.
Shinkansen Signal
Does Japan have Wide-fi? I’m wondering if you can pick up these signals on such a fast moving train.
